The bilabial click is sometimes erroneously confounded with the sound of an air kiss while, in fact, it represents more of a smacking sound.
This sound is used in the African Khoisian language !Xóõ which, as of today, is spoken by 3,000 to 5,000 people in Botswana and Namibia.
