EDIT Ideographic Variation Character This is a visible character and doesn\'t belong to the invisible control characters. It is used to indicate that the following ideograph (charcter) is not the character intended but a variation. The number of possible characters in the CJK is so high that typefaces often have the more common characters but not all of the others.
