EDIT Vowel Carrier Letter The Limbu script has no independent vowel signs. Every consonant has an inherent vowel (the a) and can get modified with a dependent vowel sign (U+1920 – U+1928). To write a vowel without an accompanying consonant, the vowel sign is attached to this character, the Vowel Carrier Letter. It has no acoustic value itself.
