EDIT
Za is the 6th letter of armenian alphabet. Its form undergoes considerable transformation. The oldest form gradually changes and drops below the line in the minuscule. A series of intermediate forms are created between the uncial and the minuscule. The minuscule undergoes simplification. In modern typography the both of forms with open-topped and closed head are used.
Za/[zɑ] is pronounced as [z]. The numerical Value of Za is 6. Source: Album of Armenian Paleography Michael E. Stone, Dickran Kouymijan, Henning Lehmann Aarhus University Press 2002 |
